My next goal is to continue to a higher degree, namely MBA studies, after completing the Bachelor of Business Administration degree I obtained at TAMK. According to my calculations, I still lack three months of YEL-insured work experience required for eligibility.
The aim is to start studies in January 2028, provided that the training schedule, my eligibility, and student selection allow it. I am particularly interested in TAMK’s data expertise and artificial intelligence master’s program, which has the degree title of Bachelor of Business Administration (higher AMK).
International software business supports the study plan
According to my assessment, YEL insurance will become mandatory for me in 2027. The outlook is based on a cash flow forecast derived from the sales of Timesheet licenses, which I consider certain. The license client is a health technology startup operating in Dubai, and the license revenues will be paid to me through Atlassian.
This brings predictability to my business operations and simultaneously supports my plan to accumulate the missing YEL-insured work experience before the studies I aim to start.
From an entrepreneur’s perspective, this is also about the results of long-term software development: my own product finds an international client and generates revenues on which I can plan the next steps.
From practical experience to deeper data and artificial intelligence expertise
I want to combine my software development and entrepreneurship experience into a stronger data and artificial intelligence expertise. I am interested in how technology can improve business operations, support decision-making, and build new services.
YAMK studies would be a natural next step for this. They would provide an opportunity to examine the questions encountered in practical work more systematically while also developing my own business.
After the MBA degree, the goal is doctoral studies
My long-term goal is to apply for doctoral studies at the University of Tampere after completing the higher education degree. I am interested in the doctoral program in administrative sciences, business studies, and political science.
I would like to explore the connections between technology, artificial intelligence, and business in the future. The experience accumulated as an entrepreneur could provide a practical starting point for the research. Applying for doctoral studies is a phase in itself, where the research plan, supervision, and selection criteria for the program also play a crucial role.
However, the next milestone is clear: three months of additional acceptable work experience and moving towards the desired start of studies in January 2028.
